They are high quality and work wellGood pants but they developed a hole in the knee after the first time my son wore them. My son is hard on pants so it may have been his fault too.Seemed like some decent lightweight pants, but after just 4-5 uses, little tears started to show up and on the 6th use, ripped diagonally across the bum. If all your kids do when they're outside is walk and never jump or do anything overly active or get down on the ground to play and climb in the rocks and dirt, them these would be fine, but if your kids are at all active these will not last you long. Pretty disappointed.I ordered these for my daughter for a backpacking trip. She is nine years old, and wears a size 8. But is a thin thing and lots of close fall right off her waist. I ordered a small per other reviews, but it was way to big. Maybe by a few sizes. The quality seemed nice, so I am going to keep it for her to grow into, but definitely too big on her.Seem a bit thin material and feels a bit like tent material, but that works as the kids love them and are very hard on the pants outside.I bought Olive 14/16 for a child weighing 90lbs. I will have to shorten the pants. These are not convertible pants but advertised as one in the title. If you are buying different color you might want to read reviews of the same pants to see if they are convertible or not. Lightweight pants, not for cold weather. Purchased to be worn with scout shirt.We bought these pants for hunting season for my 12 year old son. The down side is there are no loops for a belt.
