I've got 13 hundred dollars in 3 other motorcycle pants that don't fit as well as these did. So that was awesome! (one pair fits great but are too short, the other pair is too long and too high in the waist, the other pair only fits if I take out the inner liners and then they were still slightly short that I never rode in. I mean to send that pair back...) Also they have front pockets of which most of my other motorcycle pants don't. I really liked that!I have to say they aren't really any cooler then my other non mesh pants UNLESS you are standing on the pegs when riding off road. At that point you do feel the breeze through the front of the pants. Which is good, a lot of times your riding slower and more tech stuff while standing/riding dual sport off road and sometimes it can get really hot because your not moving as fast. But I was hoping they would be cooler just normally riding around. I think it's because the largest vented part of the pant is the upper thigh, and for me on my bike that is pretty flat while riding normally/sitting = so didn't really feel any increase in air flow? They are not as "tough" feeling or as thick as my other pants. (of which one pair was over 10 times the cost so your getting what you pay for) So even though I really liked the way they breathed better when I'm standing "off road" I don't think I will use them as primary "adventure riding" kind of pants because I don't think they will survive "as well" as my other pants off road taking spills now and then. But instead I will use them as just general quick trip/around town/commuting kind of pants and when I at least don't plan on doing much off road. (I wear shorts like 99.9999999% of my life. But I do try to wear moto pants most of the time on bike as I don't want road rash!) Again, the fit is REALLY good. So of all my pants I pick these for having to walk into a store or something quick where I don't want to take the time to remove all my gear and lock it up on the bike. ALSO, did I mention they have front pockets... :)Love how breathable these pants are. There are huge mesh panels on the front thighs and below the knee plus along the whole back of the leg. Every other pair of riding pants I have are stifling and even with their vents open, I end up sweating like crazy. These are cool and comfortable and can be worn over pants or shorts or on their own. Thankfully I haven't tested the protection/durability of these but certainly feel well protected. The adjustable waistband allows for cinching up for a tighter fit so I would err on the side of larger but they seem to fit well to measurement. I'm 5'5" and 130 lbs and wear a size 6 pant. I ordered the small regular since I want to be able to wear these over jeans. Fit great and look good. Have had several compliments on them. The only thing I wish is that there were more pockets, but for the price, I really can't complain.Obviously waterproof ratings are a redundancy. They have large mesh areas. Not waterproof. Fairly comfortable however I recommend going one size bigger than you may actually need (unless you're 'skinny') got size I measured for and its a little tight in thighs and waist. Note: I dont have a super athletic build but I'm also not big. So if you dont have a tummy or some meat on your thighs you have nothing to worry about. That being said they aren't so uncomfortable that I cant wear them. But hip pads require some room and waist is pretty adjustable. Like my size large (34") can probably tighten to right at 32" but im more on 34" side and im pretty sure a XL would fit me just fine with waist belts tightened. Just food for thought. Overall im happy. Will probably buy an XL pair later on just to compare fitmentUpdate: I ordered the xl. And these are extremely comfortable for adv style pants should last a couple of years...change the armor pads out for something better if you. The pads are better than no impact protection but please spend the money on pads your legs will thank youGreat fit if you use size chart. Very comfortable for those hot days. Only draw back is the lack of pockets. Still beats the price of anything comparable from CycleGear. My old riding pants gave up last ride so I was looking for a summer replacement. These were inexpensive so I wasn't expecting much. We had 4 days in the Sierra's riding XR650 Hondas on intermediate to difficult trails at elevations up to 11,000 feet. We had rain and many water crossings and ended up doing over 350 miles. The pants far exceeded my expectations. They are well ventilated (so not so waterproof) and amazing in hot weather. I came off 2 times hard and the pants showed no damage (wish I was the same). I can recommend these highly.I have dedicated fall/winter pants and dirt bike pants that require knee braces. I was looking for something simple that included armor and was no hassle. These fit the bill. I use these pants 90% of the time I ride in the spring/summer. They are perfect for sport touring or light ADV/gravel roads. The price is excellent compared to what you’d spend at one of the big online motorcycle retailers. Granted their a no-name product but they work great and fit well. I’m totally impressed by these pants.I normally wear a 34 / 30 in jeans. I originally ordered an XL short. 36/31 1/2. They were huge on me somI ordered a L 34/31 1/2. They were out of stock so judging from the size of the XL’ s , I took a chance on some Med. 32/31. They fit perfectly, waist and length because the waist is very adjustable. The only thing I found wrong with the pants is that the stitching on the inside at the knee was a little rough on my bare knees. I had my wife sew in a piece of felt over the seam and now the are extremely comfortable to wear with only underwear underneath. Nice and cool too on warm days. Love them
